Thapar :-)

Thapar is a decent college having a fair reputation in the market of jobs. I have taken hostel FRC, the hostel farthest from the academic block. But the distance traveled now seems worth. A spacious room where you can relax is a plus point to the life in contrast to the sub standard living in most of the hostels.

The frosh team welcomes everyone and makes sure you get well versed with the college and the way it functions fast enough. The long walks soon become a part of your routine, and you will see many people heading home at the first opportunity they get. Probably you will also do the same in your initial days. But after you join societies, you will have a good activity to do on campus itself. Also, by this time, you shall see the mid semester exams approaching. So, it will be the time to hit on the books. This will be the time you shall sit with your friends and study, only to realize that group study has no advantages whatsoever.
