No no no. The CGPA has not been declared till date. But at least twice in the past one week, I have heard rumors about the GPA being declared soon. And let me tell you, this is something causing more tension than what the JEE or CBSE results caused back then. This is not good. It's not even acceptable.
GPA is just a number which tells nothing about me. I mean, the environment score of a computer science engineer will not tell how much understanding of data structures he has. His electronics score will not tell how good a web developer he is. These are absolutely no parameters to judge the competency of student. Not only me, but even the industry believes so. In fact let me prove it for once.
When was the last time someone got a job in any company without interview, because of his GPA? Probably never in history. Because companies know that the college graduates are not talented enough to be employed as such. They need to have some more skills, which they will learn only when they are interested. Those are the skills tested n the interviews. Google has over 40% of their top engineers who never even went to college. This is evidence enough that GPA is not anything which needs to be given a damn about.
But hey, something called people around you. When everyone is creating a hype of a particular situation, it automatically gets undue importance. That is what happens every time it is expected that the GPA will be declared. Pathetic.
